An interesting piece by Margaret Ashworth, for TCW. You only have to look at one evening’s BBC TV schedules to see that the BBC is a broadcaster run by women, for women. Last night I happened to click on BBC2 and caught the final 10 minutes of a 150 minute long programme which included live coverage of England v Wales, the wimmin’s teams. That’s 10 minutes I’m never going to get back. 12-year-old boys could have trounced both teams, and they’d have drawn a bigger crowd.
