Laura Bates: Female Genital Mutilation disproportionately affects women

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Pitiful. An extract:

It is undeniable that these problems, and a great many more, from wage inequality to so-called “honour” violence, female genital mutilation to workplace sexual harassment, disproportionately affect women.

The first two parts of a three-part “essay” by Special Snowflake for The Economist titled, “How to convince sceptics of the value of feminism.”

Liverpool Ladies FC 0 – 1 Manchester United Women FC

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

From the Wikipedia entry on Manchester United WFC:

Manchester United Women Football Club is a professional football club based in the Salford suburb of BroughtonGreater Manchester, England, that will compete in the FA Women’s Championship from 2018, the second tier of English women’s football

In March 2018, Manchester United announced their intentions to form a women’s football team. Manchester United Women Football Club were founded on 28 May 2018, following the club’s successful application to join the newly-formed 2018–19 FA Women’s Championship.

So, MUWFC is a “professional” football club, is it? Rubbish! In their first game, yesterday, MUWFC beat Liverpool Ladies FC 1:0, in Liverpool (please, try to curb your excitement). Click on the video clip titled “The first-ever goal for United women” in their section of the Manchester United FC website – here. Not a spectator in sight. Interest in women’s football is close to zero, as we see from empty stands even for the women’s national team’s games. Yet the BBC in particular gives women’s sports outrageously high coverage.

There’s no way the women’s game can possibly be “professional”. It’s amateur, and kept alive only by being a financial parasite on the men’s game.

Sophie Walker: “Overconfident men brought us Brexit. It’s not too late for women to fix it.”

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Sophie Walker, leader of the Women’s Equality Party, has won two of our Lying Feminist of the Month awards. You may have noticed one of them expanded to placard size on the wall behind the conference speakers. Her BBC-funded (i.e. licence fee payer funded) sidekick Sandi Toxic has also won the award twice.

Our thanks to Claire for sending us this, an article by Sophie Walker in The Guardian, about Brexit. Claire writes:

More nonsense from the Doughnut. The idea that women would ever be the losers from Brexit, or anything else, is farcical. Men will also be the losers. On other occasions she’s pointed out that most employees in the public sector, the non-productive sector, are women. Of course most employees in the private sector, the productive sector, are men. What are the chances?

Manchester United Women FC 0 – 9 Salford Academy boys

Our thanks to HEqual for this, published in The Sun three weeks ago. An extract:

Rebecca Golledge tweeted: “@ManUtd women’s team have been together a very short period of time. These lads have probably been playing together since they were 8. Makes me sick to see all these sexist and derogatory comments, it’s just wrong.”

Male academics at Leicester University urged to say the word ‘menopause’ three times a day to be in solidarity with female colleagues.

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Our thanks to Danuta for this. The start of the piece:

Repeating the word ‘menopause’ three times a day at work is enough to show solidarity with female colleagues, men have been told.

The University of Leicester is trying to encourage middle-aged male academics to open up and talk about the taboo subject.

Dr Andrea Davies, from the university’s School of Business, organises the monthly Leicester Menopause Café, where male and female colleagues are encouraged to come together and chat about the middle-aged phenomena.

She also puts together menopause roadshows at the institution and says workplaces need to become more menopause-friendly.

The cheating wife

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Our thanks to Sean for this:

A man sends a text to his next-door neighbour:

“Bob, I’m sorry. I’ve been riddled with guilt, and I have to confess. I have been helping myself to your wife when you’re not around, probably more than you. I know it’s no excuse but I don’t get it at home. I can’t live with the guilt any longer. I hope you’ll accept my sincere apology. It won’t happen again.”

Feeling outraged and betrayed, Bob grabs his gun, goes into the bedroom, and without a word, shoots his wife dead. Moments later he gets a second text from his neighbour:

“Really should use spell check! That should be ‘wifi’ “

University Challenge to introduce ‘gender neutral’ questions following complaints from viewers

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Our thanks to Mike P for this. The start of the piece:

University Challenge is to introduce “gender neutral” questions following complaints from viewers, it has emerged.

The quiz show’s executive producer has said that ideally, questions should be framed in such a way that it is not possible to tell whether they were written by a man or a woman.

Peter Gwyn said he hope this will encourage more female contestants to take part in the show, which has come under fire for its gender imbalance.

“Perhaps ‘gender-neutrality’ is what we aim for,” Mr Gwyn said. “We try to ensure that when hearing a question, we don’t have any sense of whether it was written by a man or a woman, just as questions should never sound as if they are directed more at men than women.

“We believe very strongly that the more representative, inclusive and diverse we can make the programme, the better and more interesting it will be.” [J4MB: You can but hope something in Peter Gwyth died when he said this.]

Mr Gwyn told how the move came after a viewer wrote in to complain about how few questions were about women. “We agreed and decided to rectify it,” he told Radio Times.

“And we will always do everything we can to encourage more women to take part as contestants.” [J4MB: Why do women have to be encouraged all the time? What’s wrong with them?] He said that gender parity is one of many balances that question writers aim to achieve when writing questions, along side ensuring the right mixture of arts and sciences or contemporary and historical themes.

Earlier this year, Thomas Benson, the quiz show’s questions editor, said that there has been an effort to equalise the gender imbalance in the quiz.

University Challenge has been broadcast since 1962 – 56 years ago. And all it took was one (alleged) viewer writing in to complain about “how few questions were about women”. That’s the power of female whining for you, as exemplified by women such as Laura Bates (Special Snowflake) and Caroline Criado Perez. The BBC – universally challenged.

Never take your wife on a hunting trip

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in August 2018:

Our thanks to Neville for this:

A 60yo man takes his wife with him on a hunting trip in the Rocky Mountains. He’s gone on many hunting trips before, this is her first time. After an hour walking trough the forest, he has a heart attack, and lies motionless on the ground.

His wife becomes hysterical and calls 911. Between sobs, she says to the man on the phone, “I’m on a hunting trip with my husband, he’s just had a heart attack, I think he might be dead.”

The man replies, “Well, can you make 100% sure?” She agrees to.

A few seconds later, two rifle shots ring out. The wife returns to the phone, and says, “OK, he’s DEFINITELY dead now. What next?”
