Woman, 38: “I’ve had a lot of sex out of politeness. How do I say no?”

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in April 2018:

Our thanks to James for this piece in The Guardian. An extract from the reply of the “relationship expert” (a woman, inevitably):

If you anticipate that a situation may lead to you having sex out of politeness – perhaps you can recognize the signs by now – whether that’s a first date, a reunion with an old lover, a party where the drinks are flowing, or an invitation back to the apartment of someone whose company you’ve enjoyed but who you don’t know well, take a moment beforehand to set a clear intention, e.g. “I am going to go home on my own tonight”.

Write it down: on a Post-it note, in your phone, somewhere you can refer to if that helps. [J4MB emphasis]

No agency… again.

He’s right. Several times a week I’m reminded of Alison Tieman’s video (4:27) from 2015 Men’s Rights versus Feminism explained using magnets.

New Scientist: “The origins of sexism – how men came to rule 12,000 years ago”

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in April 2018:

Our thanks to Mike P for this. Unless you’re a subscriber, you’ll only be able to read the start of the article. Mike writes:

The New Scientist magazine is a fairly harmless, long running  populist rag for wannabe nerds, right? Apparently not. Recent articles include:-

“The origins of sexism. How men came to rule 12,000 years ago.”

“The hidden reasons why societies are violent towards women.”

“How protective parents exacerbate gender differences.”

“Why the Patriarchy isn’t good for men, and how to fix it.”

“The fight for gender equality can be informed by science.”

“Dearth of women in tech is not due to brain differences.”

“Kids everywhere have damaging gender stereotyping by age 10.”

New gender-balanced questions make University Challenge harder than ever, say contestants

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in April 2018:

Our thanks to Nick for this. Hilarious. An extract:

But one finalist team said that a round relating to female philosophers was more difficult than if it had been about famous male philosophers. They passed on every question.

Rosie McKeown, from the winning St John’s, Cambridge, team told The Daily Telegraph: “I know our team did badly on the round about female philosophers, and I think we would have had more names to draw on in order to make an educated guess if the questions had been about men.”

Women complain that World’s Best Female Chef award is sexist

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in April 2018:

Our thanks to Nick for this. The start of the piece:

A female chef of the year award is sexist, chefs have complained, as they said that cooking “is not like sport”.

The World’s Best Female Chef accolade, won this year by British chef Clare Smyth, is awarded by The World’s Best 50 Restaurants, but there is no equivalent prize given out to male chefs.

Pip Lacey, former head chef at Murano, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Mayfair, described the women-only award as “odd”.

Ms Lacey, who is opening her own restaurant in London this summer, said: “I don’t get why we have to segregate the award – it’s a bit odd. I don’t see why you can’t compete with men, why there’s not just one category.

“It’s not like how in sport you are competing at a different physical level, I don’t think cooking is like that.”

Feminists are right. The gender pay gap is a scandal. For both part-time and full-time employees, women’s pay is greater than men’s pay.

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in March 2018:

If you ever encounter a woman complaining about the gender pay gap, agree it’s a scandal, then tell her than for both part-time and full-time employees, women earn more than men, on average. The gap relates to the median hourly pay of men and women. Should the woman express incredulity – as a businesswoman did recently, whilst interviewing me for a TV documentary on the subject – simply point them to a piece by William Collins – here. Collins shows that in the case of p/t employees the gap has been in favour of women for 20 years (it’s currently about 5%) while for f/t employees, as a result of progressive tax rates impacting on more men than women, the post-tax gap has averaged about 2% in favour of women in the recent three years.

Now, what do feminists propose should be done about the problem?

Judicial College chief Lady Justice Rafferty: “Real equality means favouring women and minorities to make up for the disadvantage they suffer.”

The rules also recommend that courts should be slow to send women to prison because jail terms are more damaging to them than men… [J4MB: In which ways?]

The Bench Book adds: ‘Women remain disadvantaged in many public and private areas of their lives. [J4MB: For example…?]

‘The previous life experiences of women offenders, their reasons for offending, their offending patterns, the impact of custodial sentences on themselves and their dependants, and the long-term effect of prison sentences all tend to differ between men and women.

‘The impact of imprisonment on women, more than half of whom have themselves been victims of serious crime, is especially damaging and their outcomes are worse than men’s.’

If a prison sentence for a woman was really necessary, judges should consider suspending it, the guidance says. [J4MB emphasis… and if it wasn’t really necessary, judges should consider imposing it? It’s difficult to follow the logic…]

Time’s up for Dizzy Blonde: ‘Sexist’ craft beer names and images of scantily clad pin-ups are to be banned from Britain’s beer pumps and bottles

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in March 2018:

Our thanks to Mike P for this. The end of the piece:

In the wake of the #MeToo movement and the backlash against sexual harassment and abuse, the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) is drawing up a new code of practice to outlaw marketing which is considered sexist and offensive. [J4MB: Hmm, considered sexist and offensive by hatchet-faced feminists, as usual?]

The campaign against these beer labels and promotions is being led by Jaega Wise, recently elected as the south east director for SIBA. Miss Wise said: ‘The issue of sexist and discriminatory beer marketing has been raised at board level.

‘Members may wish to consider their current branding and make plans to change any which might be considered inappropriate [J4MB: the adjective of choice for passive-aggressive women, determined to stamp out anything that might be found amusing by men] by consumers.’ [J4MB: Hopefully the members will tell her to take a long walk off a short pier.]

The Campaign for Real Ale’s national executive said it ‘abhorred’ sexism and would take action against members being ‘disrespectful’ because of a person’s gender. [J4MB: Women being disrespectful of men will remain okey-dokey, as always.]

Jaega Wise is the passive-aggressive head brewer at Wild Card Brewery. I invite you to join me in vowing never to drink their beers while she remains head brewer.

Join us in boycotting BrewDog beers

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in March 2018:

Sarah Warman, Brewdog’s global head of marketing.

Green or blue hair is a sure indicator of a loopy feminist.

But I repeat myself.

Our thanks to Sean for this. Extracts:

Craft brewer BrewDog has faced a backlash after unveiling a newly-branded beer designed to shine a light on the gender pay gap.

The Scottish company claims Pink IPA, a repackaged version of its Punk IPA, is “satirically dubbed ‘beer for girls’” and is a send-up of “lazy” marketing efforts to target the female market…

In a statement on its website, the firm said it will be serving the beer at 20% cheaper in its bars to those who identify as women and donating 20% of its proceeds from the two IPAs to causes that fight against gender inequality. [J4MB: We look forward to a sizeable donation.]

Sarah Warman, [J4MB: Appropriate surname] BrewDog’s global head of marketing, said: “The fact that the gender pay gap is still an issue in 2018 shows that a lot of lip service is being paid, but not enough action is being taken to tackle inequality.

“We want to accelerate change by empowering more women to make their voices heard and calling out industries and employees that need to do more. With Pink IPA, we are making a statement the only way we know how – with beer.”

Responding to the online debate, she added: “We always anticipated that some people might not immediately appreciate the irony of Pink IPA but that did not deter us in our mission to spark a conversation about the gender pay gap.

“Pink IPA is clearly an over-the-top ridiculing of the types of sexist marketing we often see from brands trying to engage a female audience.

“This beer is part of a bigger campaign that raises awareness of the scourge of the gender pay gap and sexism; two issues we think we should be doing a lot more to solve as a society.”

I vow never to again drink a drop of BrewDog beers (not a big sacrifice, to be honest, they’re over-hyped and over-priced). Please join me in this boycott. Thanks.
