Exam board ‘forced’ to include female composers on A-level music syllabus by a whiny feminist schoolgirl’s petition

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in September 2015:

Our thanks to Mike for this. A whiny feminist schoolgirl has ‘forced’ one of the country’s leading exam boards to change its music syllabus. Thin end of the wedge, anyone? What could possibly go wrong?

The ‘journalist’ is Paul Gallagher who – to his eternal shame – expresses not a single word of criticism of what’s happened, not does he report the views of anyone else who might reasonably object to it. Excerpts from his dismal piece of feminist propaganda:

At a meeting this week the 17-year-old received a personal apology from Mark Anderson, Managing Director of Edexcel’s parent company Pearson, and an assurance that the course will change. She had written to him demanding change following her involvement in a ‘Fearless Futures’ programme exploring gender inequality, which she said enabled her to recognise “normalised sexism”.

Ms McCabe, who is currently studying maths, music and history at Twyford Church of England High School in London, told The Independent: “There’s been a lot of progress. I didn’t think it would be as easy [to change the syllabus] as it was, but Edexcel have been great – they automatically saw the need to rectify this and are making changes as soon as possible for the new course.

“They are also reviewing their other qualifications to ensure they are diverse and inclusive. They are speaking to lots of specialists in the industry and leading academics to see who they feel should be included – and to senior examiners because there are Ofqual guidelines which they have to set.”…

Ms McCabe is not resting on her laurels and has already written to Nicky Morgan, the Education Secretary, as she wants to “role (sic) this process out to other exam boards”.

The teenager said: “It’s not just Edexcel [where this problem exists], other exam boards are at fault too. Edexcel is the leader in A level music but there are other people studying music with different exam boards so they should have the opportunity to learn about women composers too.”

Mr Anderson said: “We are fully committed to ensuring diversity is better reflected through our revised music A-level, which will begin to be taught in Autumn 2016. We have met with Jessy, listened to her views and are taking her feedback on board, as well as the views of other musical experts in the UK.”

‘Other musical experts’? Give me strength. Jessy McCabe is 17 and studying music for her A Level. Does Mr Anderson not know that the first rule of dealing with difficult people, is not to reward them for being difficult? Even (or especially?) if they’re 17-year-old schoolgirls? He’s helped create a monster. Our considered opinions on this matter:

Mark Anderson needs to strap on a pair.

We hope Pearson’s share price crashes in response to his idiocy.

A tip of the hat to Steve Hill, who’s posted the only comment on the article so far:

OK chaps and chappesses. Without googling, write down a list of all the famous classical composers you know. Stop when you get to a woman.

Jeremy Corbyn, Labour party leader, invents a cabinet position for Gloria De Piero, twice a Lying Feminist of the Month award winner

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in September 2015:

A few hours ago the Spectator published a piece by Isabel Hardman, about Jeremy Corbyn’s shadow cabinet appointments. At that moment in time 16 women had been appointed, and 13 men. Did that stop feminists whining? Of course not. Jezza hasn’t given ‘enough’ of the senior ministerial positions to people with the ‘right’ genital equipment.

No news, yet, on whether a statistically representative number of new shadow cabinet ministers are from Lincolnshire, are one-legged, have speech impediments, suffer from rheumatism, or belong to the Barry Manilow Appreciation Society. Shocking, really, when you think about it.

Corbyn has created posts out of thin air, in order to give women whackadoodle ministerial positions and thereby create numerical ‘equality’. Gloria De Piero won two of our Lying Feminist of the Month awards, here and here. She now exults in the formerly non-existent job title of, ‘Shadow minister for young people and voter registration’, so she will be ‘shadowing’ nobody. Women everywhere will surely stand a little taller from now on.

Feminist dating app rewards well behaved men

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in September 2015:

Our thanks to Rob for this. You have to ask, how many men will be so utterly desperate for female company, as to use a feminist dating app? And if those poor souls do get a date, who might it be with? Liar Bates? Charlatan Proudman? Caroline Cryado-Perez? The mind boggles… still, we can be sure they’d pay 50% of the bills. To do otherwise would be to accept benevolent sexism, after all.

Feminists campaign for a ban on sex robots

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in September 2015:

Priceless. The start of the article:

A campaign has called for an outright ban on robots developed for sex. Leading academics in robot ethics have warned that their creation will only increase the objectification of women and children, further dehumanising those who are abused for sex.

The warning comes as artificial intelligence approaches a point where it could be used in robots designed solely to satisfy sexual desires. But such robots, campaigners argue, should not exist.

“The development of sex robots and the ideas to support their production show the immense horrors still present in the world of prostitution,” read a statement on the Campaign Against Sex Robots website. The authors of the campaign argued that sex robots would further increase the perceived “inferiority of women and children” and continue to justify their use as “sex objects”.

The campaign, led by Kathleen Richardson, a senior research fellow in the ethics of robotics at De Montfort University in Leicester and Erik Brilling, an associate senior lecturer in informatics from the University of Skövde in Sweden, hopes to encourage a wider debate around the development of sex robots and their potential implications for society.

Hmm – ‘potential implications for society’? Or ‘potential implications for women’, specifically? With research towards artificial wombs coming along nicely, life’s going to become ever more challenging for those of the female persuasion. An increasing number of men – MGTOWs – are already walking off the plantation. What will women offer men, in a bid to return them to their former servitude? Scintillating conversation, perhaps?

BBC comedy RIP

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in September 2015:

I’ve long been a comedy buff, and I’m perfectly happy to concede the BBC has been the source of some priceless comedy series over my lifetime – Fawlty Towers being a particular favourite.

The quality of BBC comedy series has long been in decline, possibly because material has to gain the approval of the BBC’s political correctness brigade, a reliable way to strangle genuinely funny comedy ideas at birth. Hope springs eternal, however, and I’ve just watched People Time on BBC3. In my TV guide, the programme was described thus:

Lively comedy show pilot starring seven comedy rising stars (including Claudia O’Doherty and Ellie White). The skits cover a range of modern issues, big and small, from online dating and workplace sexism to mobile phones and junk mail – the shouty man in the street manages to be both silly and subversive.

Sounds like a riot, right? Er, no. I didn’t laugh once, and came close to smiling on only one occasion. The lowest point in this dismal waste of licence payers’ money was the aforementioned ‘shouty man in the street’ encountering three ‘No More Page 3’ campaigners on the street, 11:49 – 12:47.

The comedic premise of the sketch was that if men oppose feminists their male friends will desert them, and they will then have to grovel to feminists for acceptance. If there has ever been a less funny ‘comedy’ sketch broadcast on television or radio anywhere in the world, I invite you to send it to me. For obvious reasons, I exclude anything written by, or including, Kate Smurthwaite. Thank you.

The programme is available on iPlayer for the next 29 days, and we could save it for prosperity on our YouTube channel. But why would we want to? We get comfort from the knowledge that in a month’s time the programme won’t be available on iPlayer ever again.

Have a good weekend.
