T shirt – “Is It True? Or did you hear about it on the BBC?”

I recently decided (belatedly) to stop paying for a TV licence, so I’ll shortly be unable to watch the daily feminist anti-male propaganda live TV broadcasts of the British Biased Corporation. “Biased” can of course be replaced by “Bullshit”, “Bolshevik”, and many other words.

I’ve just ordered a black T-shirt from Amazon – here – with the text, “Is It True? Or did you hear about it on the BBC?”

Ken’s not happy. Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in July 2019:

We recently posted a piece praising Mark Field MP for using proportionate force in apprehending and ejecting a female Greenpeace protester from a room in the Mansion House, after she was striding purposefully towards the Chancellor of the Exchequer, who was making a speech to an audience of 300+ financiers, politicians etc. Our piece (and Mark Field’s actions) received almost universal support, as did the same piece on AVfM – here.

The only dissenting comments came from Ken, which were so gynocentric in their defence of the Greenpeace harridan, and critical of Mark Field, that I didn’t publish them. But our world-class IT system keeps a record of all comments, whether we publish them or not. The first of his comments:

What appalled me was how the other diners sat on their fat bums and allowed Mr Field to attack a protester who was doing no harm. Field shows every sign of being a violent thug completely unsuitable for public office and should accordingly be fired before he kills somebody.

The best way to deal with the protesters would have been for the other diners to throw Mr Field out of the nearest window. [My emphasis.] Then find a table for the protesters, buy them dinner and talk rationally about whatever it was that they were trying to achieve. Show them that the T*ries have some understanding of people who aren’t millionaires, for a change.

By the way if anyone grabs you by the back of the neck, try not to panic. Grab their little finger (it will likely be on the right of your neck) with all your strength and break the joint by pulling the finger backwards until you hear a loud scream. [My emphasis.] They’ll probably let go of you then.

He seems like a nice man. Anyway, it turns out he’s not happy about my disinclination to publish his comments previously. Oh dear. How sad. Never mind. He just emailed this to me:

I am writing to complain about your removal of several comments about Mr Mike Field’s disgraceful behaviour and assault on a female protestor who dared to walk into the room in which Mr Field and his friends were stuffing themselves. Democratic debate doesn’t work like that, Mike. Get a grip. Grow up. Sometimes, some people disagree with what you say.

Regards, Ken [surname redacted]

p.s. If I had a subscription I would cancel it.

I replied:

Ken, good evening. Thank you for taking the trouble to write to me. Unfortunately all your comments were firmly in breach of our Comments Policy, term 3.5 of which imposes a strict ban on the publication of really stupid comments on the J4MB website. As you might imagine, this means the followers of our blog don’t have their time wasted by comments from feminists and chronically gynocentric men. I trust you understand, and will bear this in mind, should you wish to post any more comments in the future.

P.S. I am sorry to learn of your frustration at being unable to cancel your non-existent subscription. Can I offer you a non-existent refund, by way of compensation?

James Delingpole: “Study – Woke Gender Quotas on Company Boards Reduce Profitability by 12 Percent”

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in July 2019:

Enjoy. The study to which James Delingpole refers was published in The Leadership Quarterly three weeks ago – Women directors, firm performance, and firm risk: A causal perspective. The full Abstract:

Norway was the first of ten countries to legislate gender quotas for boards of publicly traded firms. There is considerable debate and mixed evidence concerning the implications of female board representation. In this paper, we explain the main sources of biases in the existing literature on the effects of women directors on firm performance and review methods to account for these biases. We address the endogeneity problem by using a difference-in-differences approach to study the effects of women directors on firm performance with specific consideration of the common trend assumption, and we explicitly distinguish between accounting-based (i.e., operating income divided by assets, return on assets) and market-based (i.e., market-to-book ratio and Tobin’s Q) performance measures in the Norwegian setting. The control group are firms from Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. We further extend the analysis of causal effects of women directors to firm risk. Our results imply a negative effect of mandated female representation on firm performance and on firm risk.

Published yesterday, Delingpole’s article has already attracted 391 comments. The most up-voted comment, from “Loose Cannon”:

If women’s executive abilities were being undervalued/underutilized, then enterprising female investors and leaders would arbitrage the discrepancy and create more female driven businesses. Same applies to the so-called gender pay gap which would signal employers to hire an all female workforce and reap the cost advantage.

Regular visitors to this website will be aware that in 2012 I gave evidence to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries on behalf of Campaign for Merit in Business, confirming the causal link between increasing female representation on boards, and corporate financial decline. I’ve just added details of this new study to our short briefing paper with direct links to the studies confirming that causal link – here.

Along with Dr Catherine Hakim and Steve Moxon, I gave oral evidence to the House of Commons inquiry in 2012 – here (video, 56:50).

Victoria Parry, 30, serial drink driver, who was twice limit when pulled from horror crash is spared jail by a female judge ‘because she’s a WOMAN’

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in July 2019:

Our thanks to Jake for this. The start of the piece:

A serial drink driver who smashed into three cars after knocking back a bottle of wine has been spared jail because she’s a woman.

Victoria Parry, 30, from Stratford-upon-Avon,was told by a female judge that there was ‘no question’ she ‘would have been straight down the stairs’ to prison if she had been a man.

Instead Parry was handed a suspended sentence and given a driving ban today – despite two previous convictions for offences involving excess alcohol.

Judge Sarah Buckingham – who sentenced her today – previously sparked outrage when she gave her a second chance on account of her gender.

She told the court in April before adjourning for pre-sentence reports: ‘If Miss Parry was a man, there is no question it would have been straight down the stairs, because this is a shocking case of dangerous driving against a background of two previous convictions for excess alcohol.

‘But this offence was committed in May 2018 and she has not been in trouble since. She has clearly got an alcohol problem. She is, whether she admits it or not, an alcoholic.’

The obscene gender pay gap at the Wimbledon tennis championships

A piece published on the website of Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them), the political party of which I’m the chairman, in July 2019:

Since 2007, the prize money for men and women at the Wimbledon tennis championships has been the same. In truth, the women’s game has since then been a parasite on the men’s game:

    • the men’s game attracts far more money in broadcasting rights and ticket sales
    • women play a maximum of only three sets, compared with men playing a maximum of five sets

This year the men’s and the women’s singles title winners landed £2.35 million prize money.

Yesterday Simona Halep beat Serena Williams 6:2, 6:2, in just 56 minutes. A total of 16 games.

This afternoon, I returned from campaigning at Speakers’ Corner to catch the exciting final set of the Djokovic / Federer final, which Djokovic won following a tie-break in the final set. He won the match 7:6, 1:6, 7:6, 4:6, 13:12. A total of 68 games, more than four times as many as in the women’s final. The game was (just) the longest in Wimbledon history, at four hours and 57 minutes, more than five times longer than the women’s final.

Equal pay for such unequal effort and audience interest is nothing short of obscene.

007: The name’s Lynch. Lashana Lynch.

Come in 007: British star Lashana Lynch walks in when the James Bond spy number is called

Our thanks to Paul for this. An extract:

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, [J4MB: A feminist, what are the chances?] who wrote the BBC comedy Fleabag and the female-led thriller Killing Eve, was recruited to ensure the 57-year-old franchise moved with the times. She said: ‘There’s been a lot of talk about whether or not Bond is relevant now because of who he is and the way he treats women.

‘I think that’s b******s. I think he’s absolutely relevant now. [The franchise] has just got to grow. It has just got to evolve, and the important thing is that the film treats the women properly. He doesn’t have to. He needs to be true to his character.’
